Whippets were created in the 18th Century by poachers for hunting small game but became established when their racing ability was discovered. Whippets are sometimes confused for miniature Greyhounds but despite descending from greyhounds, they are their own breed.
They enjoy daily walks, but it is recommended to keep them on a lead due to their high prey drive, as they love the thrill of a chase. However, in the home they are very affectionate and only want the company of their humans.
This Whippet soft toy has soft strokable fur that is dark brindle with white on his muzzle, chest, tummy and feet. He has dusty pink under ears and a cute black nose.
Don't worry, this breed is known to rarely bark so your Whippet toy will be a quiet companion for you!! It has beans in it's bottom to give a little weight and will "SIT" nicely!
