CHARLIE BEARS GRIFF - FROM THE QUEEN'S BEASTS SERIES

When Her Majesty the Queen of England was crowned in 1953, the entrance to Westminster Abbey was guarded by ten fantastical creatures in the form of heraldic statues that were 6ft high and weighed 50 stones each! Each beast supports a shield, bearing a badge or arms of a family associated with the ancestory of Queen Elizabeth II. After the coronation, they were moved to the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec. Charlie Bears have designed a stunning series to commemorate this and it is called THE QUEEN'S BEASTS SERIES.
The first 4 beasts were launched in the 2019 Collection and they have now created 4 more in the 2020 Collection.
Griff is a Numbered Limited Edition of 2000.
Griff represents the Griffin of Edward III, who was born in the Round Tower of Windsor in 1312. The griffin was his favourite beast and appeared on his private seal and many other emblems. Griffins are a hybrid mythological beast, comprised of parts from both eagles and lions and they signify strength and courage, combined with guardianship, vigilance, swiftness and keen vision.
Charlie Bears Griff has light coloured fur that is really thick and soft, plus she has some gingery fur on her wings (we know she is female, as male griffins don't have wings!) and the long wispy fur has a feathered effect, which looks really stunning. She has piercing dark eyes, grey hooked claws and the beak, tail and paw pads are golden ginger.
The attention to detail is amazing, so have the courage to swiftly buy this regal griffin, as he will be a talking point in your collection.

“Griff arrived yesterday and I was talking to a friend when he was delivered and she asked if she could see me open it to see what we had this time!
I said it’s not a bear; she was horrified, “you always have bears”.
I started to remove his bedding and she said “aw there’s his fluffy feet, then she was taken aback as she saw his wings. As I took the rest of the wrapping off her face was a picture- “oh my he is beautiful and he is smiling. She didn’t mind him not being a “true bear” then.
His furs are lovely and look like feathers on his main body . I would say he is “enchanting” as you want to keep looking at him to see his smile! The attention to detail on him is brilliant. We love him”
