The Pied Piper is a well known Fairytale by the Brothers Grimm. The legend of the Pied Piper tells of a man in multi-coloured (Pied) clothing, who is hired to lure rats away from the town, but when the townspeople refuse to pay for his services, he retailiates by luring the children away from their parents with his magic pipe, never to be heard from again.
Busker, the PIED PIPER, is a stunning character from the ISABELLE FAIRYTALE COLLECTION and he can stand un-aided and is made from a soft beige short-pile mohair and has vivid blue eyes and a small hand-stitched nose and mouth. He wears a hat that matches his outfit, which is completed with a bright yellow feather and this sits on top of his bushy shoulder-length hair.
He carries his wooden pipe, on which he plays merry tunes and these have enchanted the three little rats, which are also included in this amazing Fairytale Set - each measure 14cm/ 5.5".
They are called WHISTLE, HUM and MURMUR and are made of mohair in black, grey and reddish brown and they all have big ears, a long tail, a small, pink hand-stitched nose and tickly whiskers. They are accessorised with pretty little scarves and pendants.
This will be a highly collectable set, especially as it is only limited to 175 sets worldwide!
