German Short Haired Pointers are thought to be a cross between a Spanish Pointer and Bloodhounds as hunters were trying to create the perfect all round hunting dogs. They then began using Pointers from England to add style and elegance to the breed and the result were these beautiful obedient dogs.
This breed is very athletic so enjoy an active lifestyle and are very happy to join you on hikes or long walks. They can do all gun dog roles so are excellent at hunting and retrieving.
German Short Haired Pointers enjoy the company of children as they make excellent playmates and can match them on enthusiasm easily. Their friendly can-do nature makes them very loveable and allows them to fit into most families.
This realistic German Short Haired Pointer toy has a short plush coat of smooth fur, 'ticked' in liver and white with his head and ears coloured in the liver brown. His muzzle is also 'ticked' like his body so is mostly white with liver flecks dotted on it.
This dog toy doesn't require much walking so you can just enjoy cuddles with him all day long instead! It also has beans in it's bottom to give a little weight and will "SIT" nicely!
