2020 is a special year, as Steiff are celebrating their 140th anniversary!!
Margaret Steiff made her first plush toy in 1880, which was a little felt elephant, which she gave as a gift to her sister-in-law, Anna Steiff.
In this anniversary year, Steiff have made a gorgeous little white felt elephant to commemorate this and they have put the initials "AS" onto the blue and yellow saddlecloth. This is attached by hand with 14 black pins, that match the elephant's glass bead eyes.
He is in a numbered limited edition of 1880 and has a special elephant logo on his tag.
He has the famous gold plated "Button in Ear" and a white label with red writing, showing that he is only limited to 1880 pieces worldwide, making a very collectable bear.
