The teddy bears and animals from the Steiff Replica series are very special, as they have re-created bears that they have made in the past, using historic patterns and tools and so have been reproduced exactly according to their role models from the Steiff archieves. All Steiff replicas have the famous "Button in Ear" indicating the year in which they were made and from Spring 2017 onwards, they have had replica ear tags as well. From this time, the white tag with red lettering will be sewn into the side seam of the bear as well and will contain the article and limited edition number.

This traditional looking teddy bear is a replica from 1910, which was one of the earliest bears made by Steiff, as the first one was made in 1902. He has long arms and a hump on the back, which is what the early bears are known for. He is made from high quality blond curly mohair, with beige paw pads and is stuffed with woodshavings. The muzzle has been shaved to show off his lovely dark glass eyes and black hand-stitched nose and mouth.
An added feature is his growler, so he will talk to you when tipped up!
He has an underscored button made of patinated steel and a white label with black writing, showing that he is only limited to 910 pieces worldwide, making a very collectable bear.
