FAITHFUL FRIENDS ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIEL SOFT TOY DOG HANDBAG/SHOULDER BAG IN THOMSON TARTAN 12"

Size: 30.5cm (12")

The Faithful Friends English Springer Spaniel handbag/shoulder bag features a realistic, cuddly soft toy Springer Spaniel dog that is wearing a lovely dog coat made from Thomson tartan.

The dog has adorable black eyes, with the typical spaniel expression and the coat is made from dense, medium-length dark brown and white soft, plush fur, complete with a black shiny nose and dropped ears.  The handbag has gold coloured fittings, with two short handles for carrying and it also has an adjustable shoulder strap that is found inside the small cotton lined zipped pocket, making this an ideal present for a little girl or dog lover.

Hand wash only

SUITABLE FROM 5 YEARS OF AGE AND UP

DOG BREED INFORMATION:

The Spaniel is oringally thought to have been brought from Spain by Caesar's conquering army.

In 1570 Dr Caius uses the term 'Springers' for the land Spaniels and this is probably the first time that the actual name 'Springer' was used.  It refers to the way the dog "springs" at game to flush it for the hunter and has long been a favourite with sportsmen, but this lively, beautiful dog also makes a wonderful family companion.

In the 19th century the Boughey family of Shropshire developed a special strain of Spaniel, through selective breeding and that was to set the standards of the English Springer that we know today.

These smart, happy dogs are eager to please and they make great therapy dogs.
