The Faithful Friends Pug handbag/shoulder bag features a realistic, cuddly soft toy pug dog that is wearing a lovely dog coat made from Thomson tartan.

The dog is made from soft, short-pile plush fur in fawn, with a black face and ears, just like a real pug.  He has dark markings on his face to show his wrinkles, big kind eyes and a black nose. The handbag has gold fittings, with two short handles for carrying and it also has an adjustable shoulder strap that is found inside the small cotton lined zipped pocket, making this an ideal present for a little girl or dog lover.

Hand wash only

SUITABLE FROM 5 YEARS OF AGE AND UP

DOG BREED INFORMATION:
Pugs originated in China dating back to 200 B.C. They were prized by the emperors of China and lived a luxurious life.

In the early 1600's they were brought to Europe by Dutch traders who names them "Mopshond" which is a name still used today.

Queen Victoria had many pugs and preferred the fawn colour, whereas others made the black pug fashionable.  It is known that black pugs existed in the 1700's because the famous artist, William Hogarth, was a pug enthusiast.  He portrayed a black pug and many others in his famous paintings.  In 1785 Goya also portrayed pugs in his paintings.

Pugs are often described as a lot of dog in a small space. They are happy and affectionate; loyal and charming; playful and mischievous. Pugs love to be the centre of attention and are very upset if they are ignored.
