Every year as part of the Designers Choice Series, Steiff invite one of their designers to reinterpret classic Steiff articles, while giving free rein to their creativity.
The chosen designer for 2018 is Stefanie Antoniuk, who has been a Steiff designer since 2012. Her Designers Choice creations have been inspired by the painter Gustav Klimt's "Golden Period" and the age of Art Nouveau.
Steffi Little Elephant has been named after the designer and this is the third miniature elephant in the Designers Choice series.
It is made from the finest golden dupion silk, cork material and wool felt and she is decorated with golden beads and has sparkling sequinned ears.
Steffi Little Elephant may well prove to be a great favourite among lovers of Art Nouveau and needless to say, among fans of Gustav Klimt.
She has the famous gold plated "Button in Ear" and a white label with red writing, showing that she is only limited to 500 pieces worldwide, making a very collectable elephant.
