The first Paddington book, written by Michael Bond was published in 1958, with illustrations by Peggy Fortnum. To celebrate Paddingtons 60th Anniversary, Steiff have based this design on the first black line drawings and have made him from high quality, dense cinnamon mohair, with wool felt pads.
He wears his famous blue duffle coat, complete with toggles and a red wool felt hat. He carries his brown suitcase that has his initials and he wears a specially commissioned 60th Anniversary logo. He is limited to 1958 pieces, which are exclusive to the UK and USA, making this a highly collectable bear!!
It has the famous "Button in Ear" and a white label, showing that it is only limited to 1500 pieces worldwide, making a very collectable bear.
