Behind every good Road Runner is…well, a coyote…Wile E. Coyote, to be specific. The creators originally intended the cartoons to be spoofs of other cartoons; instead they became successes in their own right.
Wile E Coyote and the Road Runner are a duo of characters from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons. In these, the Coyote repeatedly attempts to catch the Road Runner ( a fast-running ground bird) but is never successful! He uses absurd contraptions and elaborate plans to persue his prey, resulting in his devices comically backfiring, with the Coyote often getting injured in slapstick fashion.
He is made from the finest brown and beige mohair, with bright embroidered eyes and black nose and is 3-way jointed. Steiff have characterised him really well - from his long arms, legs, ears and nose, to the slim body, big puffy cheeks and long tail.
He will certainly be a talking point in your collection!!
