ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIEL SOFT TOY DOG BY FAITHFUL FRIENDS
Size: 30.5cm (12")
The Spaniel is oringally thought to have been brought from Spain by Caesar's conquering army.
In 1570 Dr Caius uses the term 'Springers' for the land Spaniels and this is probably the first time that the actual name 'Springer' was used. It refers to the way the dog "springs" at game to flush it for the hunter and has long been a favourite with sportsmen, but this lively, beautiful dog also makes a wonderful family companion.
In the 19th century the Boughey family of Shropshire developed a special strain of Spaniel, through selective breeding and that was to set the standards of the English Springer that we know today.
These smart, happy dogs are eager to please and they make great therapy dogs.
This is a great pal to have with you when you go hiking or camping and this realistic cuddly, soft toy English Springer Spaniel will fit nicely into your rucksack! You won't need to take any food for him, as he just needs feeding with love and hugs!!
He has dense, medium-length dark brown and white soft, plush fur and has got the typical spaniel expression and dropped ears.
It has beans in it's bottom, so will "SIT" nicely!
Suitable from 2 years of age and up
