The West Highland White Terrier was developed in the mid-nineteenth century from the white puppies in the litters of Cairn, Scottish Terriers and Sky Terriers. Through selective breeding in the Argyll region of Scotland, the breed we know today was formed.
The breed is independent, self confident and makes a good watchdog. The Westie is loyal to their owners and are highly social, friendly and jolly like the other Scottish breeds of terrier.
The West Highland White Terrier, commonly known as a Westie dog, is a popular breed of small dog, originally from Scotland.
This realistic soft toy West Highland White Terrier dog has a cuddly, soft white plush fur coat and wears a tartan ribbon, to reflect his Scottish heritage.
He has beans in his bottom to give a weighted feel and so he will "SIT" well.
