The first Matryoshka Russian nesting dolls were carved in 1890, inspired by similar dolls from Japan. Steiff brings us a fun bear with a Russian doll twist! Inside the traditionally hand-turned and painted doll is.... a tiny 8cm wool felt teddy bear!
Matryoshka teddy bear is made from the finest mohair in warm brown, with a bold, hand-stitched nose and dark shiny eyes. He's fully jointed, with grey felt paw pads. He bears the gold-plated Steiff button in ear with the special elephant motif that commemorates 110 years since the first Steiff buttons. Delivered in a Steiff box complete with numbered certificate of authenticity.
