Kosen's beautiful and realistic soft toy plush Red Panda is named 'Ailu', taken from the latin name which means 'shining cat'. The red panda is a secretive animal that loves to sleep and often appears as nothing more than a red cushion in a tree when seen in a zoo!
Kosen's Red Panda is wonderfully realistic, with her reddish-brown back, darker under-carriage and white facial markings. She also has distinctive rings on her tail and fluffy white tufts on her face.
Kosen designers have an eye for detail and they study their animal subjects closely, making detailed drawings, then they create clay models and hand-craft each animal from up to 70 individual pieces of high quality fabric.
The safety eyes are made from top quality plastic and some are custom made, to ensure they are as realistic and lifelike as possible.
The animals are stuffed to ensure they maintain their shape over a long period and finally they are combed, embroidered and airbrushed, resulting in incredibly realistic and true-to-life toys.
