Steiff's 1908 Replica Teddy Bear is based one spotted by a Steiff designer on the cover of a London auction house catalogue ten years ago. Finally, the replica is available to everyone! He is made from a unique mohair fur made by Steiff Schulte. The pile is pale salmon, with faded tipping and a cinammon backing which gives him warmth and texture.
1908 Replica Teddy Bear is fully jointed, with loose limbs and traditionally stuffed with wood wool. His nose, muzzle and claws are hand-stitched and he has shiny wooden eyes. He's a good sized bear at 50cm tall! He will be delivered in a Steiff gift box with numbered certificate of authenticity and bears an under-scored button in ear of patinated steel, with the black & white label exclusive to Steiff replicas.
