Steiff's Wistful Happy teddy bear is a replica of an old bear that sold for a remarkable price at the Steiff auction in 2012. We are lucky that Steiff has brought this bear back to life with a limited edition replica. His name comes from his serious, but endearing expression. He has been carefully 'antiqued' to resemble the original bear, whose dark tipping had faded over time. This bear has airbrushing in his ears, neck and all his seams, giving the impression of fading on his pale blond mohair coat.
Wistful Happy bear is fully jointed, with a slightly wobbly head and he has dark brown pupil eyes. He is stuffed with traditional wood shavings and has a squeaker in his tummy. He bears a special patinated steel button in ear, exclusive to replica Steiff bears. He will arrive in a Steiff box, complete with numbered certificate of authenticity.
