Kaycee Bears are designed and hand-made by UK teddy bear artist Kelsey Cunningham (with a little help from her family and friends!). Kelsey has been designing and making one-of-a-kind teddy bears for many years, but only started her own range of affordable, plush bears in 2010. We are delighted to have been one of Kaycee Bears very first stockists!
Although the bears are not being released as limited editions, you can be assured that they are totally hand-made with love, and definitely not mass-produced. Currently Kelsey's Dad is in charge of preparing and cutting the plush fur while Mum is stuffing! We predict they will be needing some more hands on deck right away as the bears drew a lot of attention and pre-orders as soon as we had our first samples on display in our Swanage shop.
Each Kaycee Bear is made from top quality plush fur. They are all fully jointed and have luxuriously soft, cashmere paw pads on their feet. Their eyes are backed with felt which gives them an endearing, soulful expression which is hard to resist. As you would expect with artist-made and designed bears they have some lovely little details which are unique to Kaycee Bears. Every teddy bear has a square crystal on their ear or paw pad, mounted on either gold or silver coloured metal depending on the bears's colouring. The teddy bears' names are hand-written onto each swing tag, which also proudly declares 'Made in England'.
