Comes in a special keepsake box, in the style of a book, with silver hand-drawn illustrations of each of the 4 characters.
Charlie Bears have created a brand new series in the 2020 Collection called "THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS". This is a famous childrens book, written by Kenneth Graham in 1908 and is about the adventures of animal friends in the countryside and the four main characters are BADGER, MOLE, RATTY and TOAD. These all talk and behave like humans, while still retaining their distinctive animal habits.
This series will be very collectable, as they are all a Numbered Limited Edition of only 500 worldwide. The characters are made from the finest plush fabrics and have incredibly detailed clothing.
Mr. Toad is the owner of Toad Hall, who inherited his wealth, but is irresponsible in managing it. He is impulsive, always wanting to have the newest thing and cannot control his bragging. One of his fads is a love of motor cars and after smashing up several cars, he goes to prison after stealing one and he is finally rescued by Rat. In his absense, Toad Hall is taken over by weasels and stoats, who are finally evicted in a battle, so they all have a celebratory banquet.
Charlie Bears have captured TOAD really well, just look at his big, bulging eyes! He is a distinguished gentleman and looks very smart in his checked suit, waistcoat, shirt and tie.
