Charlie Bears have created the NURSERY RHYME SERIES in the 2020 Collection, which re-creates characters from classic nursery rhymes. There are 3 pairs of iconic characters and MARY & BAABAHRAH are one of them.
They are a Numbered Limited Edition of only 1000 worldwide, so will be very sought after.
They are also very good value for money, as you are getting 2 characters in each set!
Mary had a little lamb was first published by Marsh, Capen and Lyon as a poem by Sarah Josepha on 24th May 1830. Sarah was a teacher and the rhyme is based on a real incident in her class, when a pupil called Mary took her lamb into the classroom one day. The lamb was a distraction, so was put outside, but it stayed there until Mary came out at the end of the day. The children asked why it had stayed and so Sarah taught them the moral that if you are nice and kind to people, they will love you for it.
Charlie Bears have created Mary and Baabarah (the lamb) as a pair because everywhere that Mary goes, Baabahrah will be there to follow, so they just couldn't be apart. If you add them to your collection, you probably won't want to be without them either.
They are both made from gorgeously soft fur, so great for giving them lots of love and hugs and they will love you for it.
Mary has delicate pink fur, a deeper pink hand-stitched nose and mouth and sparkling eyes. She has bent legs, so will sit nicely on the egde of a shelf or on top of anything. She wears a beautiful pink and white dress, that has a matching removable hat and the outfit is finished off with a big pink bow.
Barbaahrah is such a great name for the lamb and makes us smile when we say it, which can't be a bad thing!. Her fleece is as white as snow and she has dark eyes, a delicate pink hand-stitched nose and mouth, pink stitched paws, waggy tail and wears a small pink bow.
