Corfe Bears Newsletter 8th May 2020

Victory in Europe Day was on the 8th May 1945 and this was the day at the end of World War II when fighting against Nazi Germany came to an end in Europe and today is the 75th Anniversary.

Sadly a lot of special events and street parties have had to be cancelled and so we will have our own celebrations at home…… Julie from Stoke on Trent has done just that and sent us this photo, which is entitled:-
“Who said that you couldn’t have your friends round for a drink”

Lorraine from Hampshire has also done the same. Mass gatherings aren’t banned in your house either, as long as they are all part of your hug!! ….. and Lorraine definitely has big hug….. she says:

“Struggling to sit on my sofa nowadays. I have over 500 bears, loads from you guys. Thanks for sending them all so promptly.”

Quite a few of the bears in this hug above are in stock with us now, such as
WILLAMENA - With free £25 gift

Look them up and see if you can spot them in the photo.

Helen from Plymouth says:-
“Just for a bit of fun and because it’s raining, so my daily walk has been put on hold, I’ve put all my Charlie Bears together on the settee and have also sent you a picture of them. Now all my non Charlie Bears are complaining because they haven’t been photographed. I think this lockdown is getting to me.”

That was good timing, as they are now all ready for a party today. As you can see, our little rascal SHENANIGANS is right in the middle of it all
(the golden one, with cap and tie) ….. so Helen better watch out, as I think this bear gathering could get up to a right lot of SHENANIGANS, as he will probably encourage them to get up to some mischief! (Especially if all of Helen’s other Charlie Bears join in as well!). If you want SHENANIGANS to join your party, you can order him
HERE - only £35!!

He will give you a laugh and keep you entertained….. and get you thinking about what fun you can have with him….. then send us your photos so we can all see!!

V is for VICTORY!!

Winston Churchill was the British prime minister from 1940 to 1945 and again between 1951 and 1955. He is best remembered for leading Britain through World War II. He was famous for his inspiring speeches and for his refusal to give in, even when things were going badly.

The following two quotes are quite apt and we can relate these to the current worldwide situation with the coronavirus crisis.

“The English know how to make the best of things. Their so-called muddling through is simply skill at dealing with the inevitable.”

…. and we are all muddling through as best as we can at the moment…..
so keep it up…. WE CAN DO IT!!

“Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the hard may be; for without victory there is no survival.”

….. AND WE WILL COME THROUGH THIS….. so keep your chin up and keep smiling.

THIS IS A HAPPY DAY, so here are a couple of happy, smiling customers of ours…

Tracey from Essex says:-

“We hope that you are all keeping safe and well? Thank you for sending the emails every day they always make us smile!
I thought I’d share a photo of the beautiful Anke who arrived for my birthday this year! She’s made friends with Dexter (he’s known as Dexter to us but his real name is Twanky) they sit together all the time now! She’s so soft and cuddle-able!”
Ann from Ross-shire says:

“Just a quick note to say, thank you so much for the daily newsletters. Really makes one feel in touch. You are so right about missing friends and family, but our furry hugs can be a great comfort. Keep well, Keep safe and keep messaging.”
