Well they’re back! Charlie Bears Bag Buddies are a brand new collection of ten five inch bears, pandas and animals with metal keyring clips. They could be clipped to your handbag, a schoolbag or your keys making them much easier to find! Or, of course, they could just sit on display with your other bears.

Each of the exquisite miniature characters is fully jointed just like the plush and mohair Charlie Bears. Each has it’s own personality which they show off with their accessories - beaded necklaces, ribbons and bells. They all have a strong metal bag clip so there’s no fear of them falling off on your travels.

There’s something for everyone in this new range. In total there are four bears, four pandas, a mouse and a monkey! You can browse the keyrings below, but we must say there is a fantastic selection of long and short-pile plush and gorgeous colours. Amazingly for such tiny creations, they are all hand-made, including their little stitched noses and their accessories.

There are two additions to the range of Kaycee Bears plush that aren’t limited in edition - Damson bunny rabbit is a stunner in purple and Ronnie panda is a cuddly guy who would look lovely with Roxy from the last collection.

The Muppets toys and keyrings are made from soft and cuddly plush fur in fantastic bright colours. We have an Animal Muppets Keyring, Fozzie Bear keyring, a glamorous Miss Piggy keyring and of course a Kermit the Frog keyring. With plastic clips these can be attached to any loop or zip so a Muppet can accompany you everywhere!

If you prefer your Muppets slightly larger we also have eight inch tall Muppets cuddly toys. Sometimes you might be disappointed to find that we are not taking pre-orders on a particular plush Charlie Bear, even though he or she isn’t retired and we are expecting more stock. The reason is that we know that we all hate to wait for our bears! If we take 30 pre-orders it’s very unlikely we’ll get enough of that bear on our next delivery to fulfill all of the orders. So some people have to wait until the next time, which could be a long time coming.

By limiting the number of pre-orders we take, we hope to ensure that as soon as we receive a Charlie Bear we will have enough to send to everyone with a confirmed pre-order. Then we’ll open the books again and take more orders.

No Deposits at Corfe Bears

Please note we never ask for a deposit for pre-orders and will only contact you for payment once we have a confirmed delivery date from Charlie Bears. So once you have paid you know the bear will be knocking at your door within days.

We also only take pre-orders for bears that we know we will definitely get!

I hope this makes our pre-order arrangements a bit clearer and reassures you that we have lots of bears on their way - we just don’t want you to be waiting for them forever!

In addition we are very excited to be one of a select few retailers with the privilege of offering Charlie Bears Show Specials. These are limited edition plush and mohair bears only available to stockists who viewed Charlie Bears new collection at the Spring Fair at Birmingham NEC recently. These bears are in very limited quantities but we will have a few available for pre-order on launch day.

The are two very exciting new ranges from our favourite bear-makers and I think we can let you in on the news. We will be introducing the long-awaited Charlie Bears keyrings and they are better than ever before. The second new range is Charlie Bears Travel Buddies - little bears just big enough for a cuddle, for the times “When you can’t ‘bear’ to travel alone”!

Finally we will have some lovely new additions to the Charlie Bears Little Baby Organics collection. These bears and other cute animals are made from organic cotton, with eco-friendly, recycled stuffing and they are safe for babies right from birth. A great way to introduce a little one to Charlie Bears nice and early!

Harmans Cross Railway Station *

Our shop is very full up with bears, so to fit more collectors in we’re taking our Charlie Bears to the lovely village hall in Harmans Cross. It’s just a short trip by car from Swanage, with plenty of parking available OR we highly recommend you take the steam train! The journey from Swanage to Harman’s Cross takes you through the beautiful countryside of the Isle of Purbeck - and Harman’s Cross station is right next door to the village hall. If you enjoy the steam experience you could continue onto the village of Corfe Castle to visit the ruined castle which has protected Purbeck since the medieval era.

As well as the chance to meet the creators of our favourite bears, there will be a special Charlie Bears signing event bear for sale. We have just had the news that our special bear on Charlie Bears Great British Bear Trail will be called Farthing. This special bear is limited to 1000 only, will be £39.99 (unless you win one in our raffle!) and will be available primarily to collectors attending Charlie Bears signing events. We’ll have free refreshements and there’s a great play area to keep the kids entertained.

Corfe Bears in Swanage

Everyone is welcome and we really hope you’ll be able to visit our beautiful area for a day or two - there are many fantastic hotels, bed and breakfasts and campsites in and around Swanage, lots of lovely shops (including ours on the High Street of course!) and a stunning sandy beach.

Lucky was introduced at our Kaycee Bears signing back in April 2011.  She was our very first mohair Kaycee Bear designed by Kelsey Cunningham especially for us, with special requests from Hayley!  Lucky was created from fantastic, long-pile, wavy mohair in golden blond.  She sold out in a flash!

Kaycee Bears Charmer is the perfect partner for Lucky.  He is made from a similar mohair, but with a contrasting colour reminiscent of delicious chocolate!  He has paw pads made from luxurious cashmere, expressive eyes backed with a little white felt and the unmistakable Kaycee Bears bold, needle-felted nose.  He is accessorised with a lovely silver-colour pendant with a collection of pretty charms.

In the plush range we have the beautiful and very popular Heidi who we have already taken so many pre-orders on that we have stopped in an attempt to fulfill them all on our initial delivery (we hope!).  Lawrence is a gorgeous cuddly bear with unusual fur.

We have two limited edition plumo bears in this collection - Buddy is a smaller bear with a round tummy and Hubble is a big boy with beautiful brindled fur pattern.  These are both limited to 3000 each and made from plush fur with a mohair muzzle.

Panda fans are well catered for - we have Jayden, Higgins, Huey, Hattie and the rather delicate Hector!

The collection is completed with three smaller bears - Squidge with lovely, wavy patchwork fur, deep brown Eddie and the posable Jenkins.  For those who like a larger cuddle we have the fluffly lady Lorna, big Donnie who must be related to Charlie 2011 and the fantastic grizzly Benson.

In the mohair Isabelle Collection we are treated to some really big bears, adorable mice and some mohair relatives of our favourite Charlie Bears plush teddy bears and pandas.

The mice troop is comprised of Cheese and Pickle, Crumb and Cracker.  Unfortunately our entire allocation of these irresistible rodents is already sold out!  Unfortunately also fully pre-ordered already are Comet and Conker, Earl and Endeavour, Mulligan, Muddle, Mr Pickwick, Hercule, Forrest, Hetty and Figgy Pudding.  As you can tell this is a highly sought after collection and we expect the full range to be fully pre-sold within days!

Happily we do still have available to pre-order (in very limited quantities) Toodlepip, Muppet, Dickens and Milton; the gorgeous Arkwright who is definitely a mohair relation of the gorgeous plush Manfred!  And finally the stunning Isabelle Masterpiece 2011 - a fantastic panda made from a combination of mohair and cuddly alpaca.  Could this be a series of special Isabelle bears to keep an eye out for in each collection?!

Our first new additions are a pair of lovely brothers - Steiff Jakob and Josef Bear.  They are both classic bears related to the 1906 replica teddy bears with their lightly air-brushed features and their squeakers!  Steiff’s Vincent Bear is a ‘cone nose’ bear with that very prominent and distinctive muzzle.

Steiff’s Marmaduke bear is absolutely irresistible - he has such sparkling eyes and open arms just asking for a cuddle.  His friendly facial expression is similar to that of Steiff’s 1926 replica bear.  This bear is based on one that was given to loyal Steiff employees who had served the first 25 years of the company’s manufacturing.

There are three lovely ladies in the latest collection of limited editions.  The first, Steiff’s Pearl teddy bear is made from a beautiful soft ivory mohair; she wears a string of elegant faux pearls and has a special Swarovski crystal button in ear.

Steiff’s Wizard of Oz tribute, Dorothy, is a bear full of fantastic features - she wears a blue gingham dress just like the one worn by Judy Garland in the 1939 film, sports Swarovski Elements crystals on her paw pad and is hiding a music box in her tummy which plays ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’.

Anni Bear is a dainty bear with a very sweet face.  She has been made from vintage-look mohair complete with little stitched ‘repairs’ and she wears a pretty jacket of crochet lace-trimmed cashmere.

Finally we are introducing two special bears for winter.  Steiff Eskimo Bears have become a regular tradition and 2011 sees the finely-dressed eskimo accompanied by a cute polar bear cub made from alpaca.  Also very well-accessorised is Steiff’s Mistletoe Teddy Bear who is wearing a sprig of mistletoe made from green and white felt.  Both perfect bears for seasonal gifts or displays!
