The ancestor of all Boston Terriers, called 'Judge' was taken to America from Liverpool in the 1870's.
Although everyone agrees that the Boston Terrier came into existence in the late 1800's in Boston, Massachusetts, there are many stories about how the breed came to be.
Originally bred as a fighting dog, under various names, including Bullet Heads, American Terriers and Boston Bulldogs.
The breed that we know today is definitely not a fighter! They are very intelligent and lively, with a loveable nature and make an ideal family pet.
This realistic soft toy Boston Terrier has a sleek, straight coat of brown and white plush, with tuxedo-like markings, which earned them the nickname of "American Gentleman".
It has the distinctive large, erect ears and flat-nosed face, together with huge round eyes which seem to say " I love you".
It has beans in it's bottom to give a little weight and will "SIT" nicely!
