Niccolò Polo was the father of Marco, and an international jewel merchant and cultural ambassador. This beautiful Niccolò Teddy Bear from Steiff captures his sense of adventure and love of fancy things! He is made from the finest, sand-coloured mohair, with a slightly unkempt finish. He has a wise, courageous expression, with a small smile and dark shiny eyes.
Niccolò carries a finely crafted brass globe, signifying his extensive travels. He wears a luxurious and exotic scarf - perhaps something he picked up in a far-flung marketplace! In his ear he bears the gold-plated Steiff button in ear with the special elephant motif that commemorates 110 years since the first Steiff buttons. Delivered in a Steiff box complete with numbered certificate of authenticity.
