Kosen's Fat Dormouse is a gorgeous, realistic soft toy plush animal. Dormice, like the character in Alice in Wonderland, are known for being sleepy - they can hibernate for six months of the year! They are also nocturnal, which is why they have such big, dark eyes. This one is made from grey plush, with a white tummy and dark tipping to the long furry tail. He has felt ears & feet and long whiskers.
Kosen designers have an eye for detail and they study their animal subjects closely, making detailed drawings, then they create clay models and hand-craft each animal from up to 70 individual pieces of high quality fabric.
The safety eyes are made from top quality plastic and some are custom made, to ensure they are as realistic and lifelike as possible.
The animals are stuffed to ensure they maintain their shape over a long period and finally they are combed, embroidered and airbrushed, resulting in incredibly realistic and true-to-life toys.
