Pandas are a rare and slightly mysterious kind of bear so they make great, individual teddy bears. In our collections we have pandas who range from pastel-coloured bears with very subtle panda colourings to realistic wild-looking animals as you might find them in China!
Of course, our most impressive panda has got to be Odin, due to his sheer size. He stands six feet tall and has been made in a limited quantity of just 50 worldwide so is as rare as his wild cousins.
From Steiff we have a beautiful mohair panda, holding a piece of bamboo made from felt, and Paddy the panda; a rather woolly, plump mohair panda with a wild-but-friendly expression.
In the Charlie Bears and Isabelle Collection the pandas are rife! In the Charlie Bears new 2009 range there is even a rarely-sighted red panda, Ronnie. These bears really can be chosen for their personalities and each one will speak to you in their own way. For me some highlights are Lucas, a rather serious bear; Joy, a little timid and in need of a home; and Woody – plush and cuddly, but not ready to be tamed!
