Meerkats have become one of the nation’s most-loved animals. If you didn’t adore them before (remember Timon from Disney’s Lion King?) then you probably do now, having seen them on Aleksandr Orlov’s highly entertaining insurance advertisements and their own Meerkat Manor television program.
Such expressive little characters certainly lend themselves to being immortalised in plush so why not compare our meerkat gifts?!
We have a meerkat teddy from Hermann at under 10 pounds and two in different sizes from Hansa. These three guys gazing out of the door give lots of laughs and rarely fail to draw passers-by into our teddy bear shop in Swanage.
Steiff bears have three meerkat toys - the very cute Rico, made from plush fur and the even more exclusive Mungo and Cockie, made from the finest German mohair.
